Background
Darren is a PhD student at the Queensland University of Technology, investigating the conservation and biodiversity values of the sub-Antarctic region. Darren has a multidisciplinary background in catchment management, aquatic ecology, animal physiology, and conservation strategy development. His research will use priority threat management tools, structured decision making and ecological theory to assess the effectiveness of management strategies across the sub-Antarctic islands for key vertebrate species, identifying gaps and opportunities for conservation.
