Background
I am a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney in the Marine Ecology Futures Group (MEF). My research focuses on mobile macroinvertebrate biodiversity and the environmental and anthropogenic drivers that shape these communities across tropical, temperate and polar marine systems. As part of the 2024/2025 Denman Terrestrial Campaign team heading to the Bunger Hills, I aim to investigate Antarctic macroinvertebrate diversity, microhabitat preference and epibiotic relationships. This work can provide valuable insights into how benthic communities respond to environmental changes, helping us better understand their vulnerability and resilience.
