Background

Richard’s work seeks to better understand the response of polar ice sheets, and corresponding sea level, to a changing climate. His research primarily focuses on the behaviour of ice sheets in the geological past, using a combination of geomorphology, geochemistry and numerical ice sheet modelling.

Following his PhD, Richard was an NZARI-funded Postdoctoral Fellow at Victoria University of Wellington (NZ) and an EU-funded Junior Research Fellow at Durham University (UK). He joined Monash University as a Research Fellow in March 2020, and is currently an ARC-funded DECRA Fellow.
