Ana Fabela

Ana’s background is in physics and mathematical modeling. Her research focuses on modeling ice flow dynamics of the Antarctic Ice Sheet (AIS) with the ultimate goal of developing a new bed topography dataset. Bed topography represents one of the most crucial boundary conditions in simulations of AIS evolution. More accurate bed topography data will enhance our ability to model ice sheet behaviour and predict changes. Ana aims to achieve these objectives: To improve our understanding of how topographic roughness influences ice flow and subglacial hydrological systems, and to enhance our ability to predict AIS mass loss under various climate scenarios.
