Daniel Goldberg
Daniel is a glaciologist who engages in computational research of ice-sheet and ice-ocean interaction behaviour. I am primarily interested in understanding current and near-future behaviour of Antarctic ice streams and making use of novel methods in ice-dynamical simulation, ice-ocean coupling, and assimilation of satellite-based data into ice-sheet models in order to improve reliability of projections of sea level rise. As part of the SAEF network Daniel will collaborate with SAEF colleagues in these areas, particularly in shared regions of interest with Australian researchers such as the Amery Ice Shelf and Aurora Basins.
