Ghyslaine Boschat
Ghyslaine is a climate scientist at the Bureau of Meteorology whose research focuses on Southern Hemisphere climate variability and change, with recent emphasis on ozone-climate interactions over the polar regions and their effects on surface climate. Her work uses observations and models to understand these processes and improve confidence in projections of how future climate will respond to increasing greenhouse gases and ozone recovery. Ghyslaine completed her PhD in 2012 at the University Pierre and Marie Curie on tropical ocean-atmosphere interactions and monsoon predictability. She has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Melbourne and Monash University investigating atmospheric circulations and regional climate extremes.
