Jack Travers
Jack is an Honours student at Monash University with a background in applied mathematics, atmospheric and earth systems science. He is currently investigating the covariability of climate modes and their impacts on Antarctic precipitation and surface mass balance. He has previously researched subglacial lakes in the Aurora Subglacial Basin and the relationship between surface elevation and subglacial hydrological dynamics.
When Jack is not studying, he can be found scuba diving around the Mornington Peninsula and Port Phillip Bay.
Antarctica is a diverse wilderness which is worth protecting for its beauty and inherent value as part of the earth system.
