Lanqing Huang
Lanqing’s research focuses on polar remote sensing, with particular emphasis on Antarctic sea ice and snow. She uses advanced remote sensing techniques, including synthetic aperture radar (SAR), interferometric SAR, radar altimetry, and airborne laser scanning, to investigate sea-ice and snow properties in a changing climate.
“Changes in Antarctica affect the entire planet, and enhanced field and satellite observations can provide the evidence needed to protect this unique environment and guide timely climate action.”
