Wilma Huneke
Wilma’s research focuses on the Southern Ocean and its role in a changing climate. Her interests span Southern Ocean dynamics and the global climate impacts of changes around Antarctica. She uses ocean and climate models and has an interest in improving the models to better represent this remote region. Wilma was awarded her PhD from the University of Tasmania in 2019 on modelling the dynamics of the Antarctic Slope Front.
“Antarctica is a fascinating place to study, as its regional processes impact the global climate.”
