Background
Helen is a paleoclimatologist who has made substantial advances in understanding civilisation’s most serious threats: global climate change, El Niño-Southern Oscillation and human–climate–environment impacts. Helen studies the climate of the past to better understand present‐day climate, improving forecasts of climate change and addressing key questions on the origins of natural climate variation.
