Background

Rachel is a community ecologist, with an interest in understanding spatial and temporal biodiversity patterns to support conservation and management decisions. Her PhD at Monash University investigated the effect of human activities on the wilderness and biodiversity value of Antarctic and sub-Antarctic ecosystems. A current focus of her work is modelling biodiversity values and threats to inform environmental management in Australia and Antarctica.
